The Culinary Arts France Experience
Pain au chocolat, café au lait, ancient buildings and bridges, lush rolling farmland, miles of well-tended vineyards. Brasseries and sidewalk cafés.
For students in the Culinary Arts Program, our France study is designed to show you the passion and commitment the French have for food and wine. You acquire a profound appreciation for the French term le goût du terroir, the unique combination of the soil, the micro-climate, and the quality of ingredients that makes French food and wine so memorable.
Cook with French chefs at the Château de Suze la Rousse, home of l'Université du Vin. Complete a stage (an apprenticeship) in a top French restaurant, bistro, pâtisserie (pastry shop), charcuterie (meat shop), epicerie (delicatessen-style shop), or hotel restaurant. Visit markets with an experienced French chef. Go behind the scenes to meet the cooks, chefs, farmers, vintners, producers and purveyors of the best Provençal food, ingredients and wines.

"The more one travels, the more one realizes that other cooks are not standing still; they are progressing. Today anyone who wants to progress must go around the world. Each time that I go to another country, I come back with many ideas."
